Wizards keep it interesting, Warriors put on a show

The much anticipated wait for the defending NBA champions to come to DC is finally over, and it came on a night where DC was celebrating the Chinese New Year. Coming into this game the Wizards were looking to make a splash against the premier team to watch in the NBA today.

From the start the Warriors were dominant, but the real star of the first quarter was Stephen Curry. The raining NBA MVP put up 25 points in the first quarter alone, and the party did not just stop with Curry. His other splash brother Klay Thompson had himself a pretty dominant performance as well with a total of 24 points and 4 rebounds.

Draymond Green made some noise as well by recording his 10th triple double of the season.

However, the Wizards would not go away quietly. There were certain points during the game where it looked like the Wizards were going to takeover. And for a good portion of the game they kept it very interesting. Even still the Golden State Warriors  3 point shooting ability was just too much for the Wizards defensively to handle.

Hats off to John Wall who had his 4th 30 plus point, 10 assists game of the season, as well as a double-double. He finished his night with 41 total points, 3 rebounds and 10 assists. Bradley Beal who is still dealing with a Broken Nose came off the bench and had a performance as well. He finished with 18 total points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. He is also still on a minutes restriction.

There is still hope for John Wall and Bradley Beal to get back into the rhythm of complimenting each other for a full game. As we all know when both of them are healthy they can cause match up problems, and can be a much bigger threat defensively. However, only time will tell when that time comes back around.

Coming up this Friday the Wizards are back at home again against the visiting Philadelphia 76ers who currently hold the worst record in the NBA 7-42. The tip off time for that game is at 7 pm.

The final score of to nights game was 134 to 121.
