Before tonights 34-30 win over the Baltimore Brigade the Washington Valor was the last team on anyones mind to try and make a playoff push.

Now the tables have turned with the consequence being a new gleem of hope for Washington. Now all they have to do is win out to clinch a playoff birth in their inagural season.

“Fortunately we captured the win and were still alive” said coach Cokinos.

Overall the game was a very back and forth, competitive match up. Valor quarterback Sean Brackett went 16 of 31 for 175 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Not the greatest stats in the world, but I’m pretty sure we have all seen a game where teams lose on the stat sheet, but win on the scoreboard.

Veteran widereceiver T.T. Toliver showed up big late in the second half by catching his third touchdown of the game which gave the Valor the win with less than ten seconds left on the clock.

“Our backs were against the wall and we needed a win in the worst way” said Brackett.

The season hasn’t exactly panned out the way the Valor envisioned it, but through all the ups and downs they have remained focused on trying to find ways to win close games. With the next two weeks being must win situations, Washington will have to pull out all the stops in order to win.

Their next game is against Cleveland next Saturday July 29th at 7 p.m.
