Ever since last offseason a lot of people have been commenting and verbally assaulting Kevin Durant for signing with the Golden State Warriors are were already loaded with fire power.
After spending most of his NBA career as a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder Durant has long been wanting to win a Championship. However, the question that was on everyones mind was “can he win a ring with Russell Westbrook?”
In last years playoffs the Thunder were up 3-1 against the Warriors, but Golden State went on to represent the west in last years NBA Finals.
Fast forwarding to today the Warriors finished this years playoffs with an impressive 16-1 record. Not only that, but the former league MVP finally grabbed the brass ring that has evaded for so long.
Durant was named the 2017 NBA Finals MVP and rightfully so after averaging 35.5 points per game, marching his way to an NBA championship.
Whether you love Durant or hate the move he made you can’t deny that he is one of the top 3 Basketball players in the world and that he slayed the king.
