Lamar Jackson led the Louisville Cardinals all the way down the field late in the 4th quarter, only to come up short on a fourth and twelve that allowed Clemson to take over.
At the beginning stages of this exciting game Clemson shined, and Louisville struggled to find the end zone. The tigers defense held Lamar Jackson in check for as long as they could, but after halftime Louisville came out the gates swinging for the fences.
Putting up eighteen unanswered points, and taking the lead at one point but just weren’t able to keep the tigers offense at bay.
Clemson would score again to get back with in two bringing the score to 36-34. They went for a two point conversion afterwards but Louisville intercepted the ball off a deflection.
After a good stop by the tigers defense the offense got the ball back, and drove down the field for a touchdown that sealed the game along with a successful two point conversion.
Final score was 42-36.
