For 13 seasons we have seen him call the secondary in a NFL defense his home. But now he is tr
transitioning into a new part of life. Charles Tillman has been one of the most well respected players in the league for a very long time.
He is best known for his stint with the team that drafted him back in 2003, the Chicago Bears. While he was with the Bears he had the opportunity to play with some other elite NFL players like Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs and Julius Peppers. Tillman was known for always having a niche for finding the ball and causing turnovers.
During the 2012 season with Chicago he had a total of 10 forced fumbles, and has a career total of 44 forced fumbles. He also has a career total of 773 tackles, with 38 career interceptions. True Hall of Fame numbers in my opinion. To add to his list of accomplishments Charles Tillman has also been a Walter Payton Man of the Year award winner which he received back in 2013.
In his last NFL season Tillman played with the Carolina Panthers, and helped to lead them to a record season of 15-1 season with a Superbowl 50 appearance (his second). Even though he never raised the Lombardy trophy on the field, he is still a champion in the hearts of many. There will never be another one like Peanut!
