Prime for Game 7

It has been noted that never before in NBA history that any team has come back from a 3-1 deficit inLebron James Game 6 a finals series. But that did not stop the Cavaliers from playing their hearts out in game 6 to force a game 7 against the Golden State Warriors, who were up 3-2 in the series. However, last night was an embarrassing night for them.

From the start of the game to the end of the game it was all Cleveland, and they did not let up one bit. Lebron was on fire and Kyrie Irving wowed us all with his amazing ball handling skills and his ability to pull up from anywhere on the court. I feel sorry for anyone that has to defend Kyrie when he’s feeling hot because he can be a handful for most point guards. Lebron however is a different specimen in his own right. He finished last nights game with 41 points, 8 boards and 11 dimes and Kyrie finished with 23 points, 4 boards and 3 dimes.

In just the 1st quarter the Warriors were only able to put up 11 points. Your read it right 11 POINTS!! I’m not use to seeing them score so little that early in a game, but that just goes to show that defense in basketball can go a long way. Especially when your playing in front of the home crowd. Its like having a sixth man on the floor with you in a sense. Draymond Green made his return back to the court after being suspended  from Game 5 after getting into it with Lebron James in Game 4. I really thought that he would have made a big difference being on the floor, but he did not look like himself at all.

Besides playing bad offensively what didn’t help the Warriors was the fact that they were getting in foul trouble early. There were a couple of bogus calls from the refs, but that neither here nor there. The biggest shock to me last night was seeing Stephen Curry the raining defending 2x MVP and NBA Champion get ejected from the game after fouling out. Much to the chagrin of Head Coach Steve Kerr who was furious after the call was made. After that it was all down hill from there.

The final score was 115-101 Cleveland.

Game 7 will be played at Oracle Arena in Oakland Sunday evening at 7:30 on ABC. I really want to say that Golden State will get it together at home, but after last nights performance by the Cavaliers I’m starting to have doubts. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how this whole thing unfolds.
