Washington D.C. – The Wizards and the Nets are two teams that weren’t playing for a playoff spot tonight, but for bragging rights. Tonight the Wizards were also looking to sweep the Nets for the regular season.
With the stars of the teams sitting out tonights game, there was a chance to see who could step up to the plate and play good basketball.
One of the many players that shined tonight for the Wizards was Roman Sessions. Sessions hit double – double figures tonight scoring 21 points, 3 boards and 12 dimes. With John Wall sitting out his fourth game with a sore right knee Sessions really set the tone for the Wizards.
At the beginning of the game the Wizards were up 20-0 and looked to be unstoppable. Much to the shagrin of many who thought that the Wizards would have a bad game. Surprisingly the outcome of the game was the total opposite. The Wizards won by a score of 120-111.
The combination of Sessions, Hickson and Thornton was really a match up problem for the a Nets. Even though this was a game that lacked defense it was still an interesting game none the less.
