Washington D.C. -The Wizards returned back to their side of town just in time to take on the Brooklyn Nets. Before the game started however, it was announced that Wizards Point Guard John Wall would be sitting out this game due to soreness in his right knee.
After a long road trip out west the Wizards found themselves back in the comforts of their home court. With their playoff hopes dwindling many are still wondering where will this team be when the regular season ends in six days.
The playoffs start in nine days.
With the 121 to 103 over the nets Wednesday night the Wizards are just 2.5 games behind the Detroit Pistons for that eighth playoff spot in the eastern conference. Hard to believe that there is still a chance for the Wizards to make the playoffs after going through a season that has been so up and down.
With just four games left in the regular season the Wizards would have to undoubtedly win the rest of their games. Not only that but they will also need some extra help. Meaning that they will need for the Pistons to lose as well as the Bulls who are at the 9th spot in the eastern conference.
The Wizards got off to a good start last night and a few players had really good outings. Bradley Beal dropped 25 points with 3 boards and 5 dimes, and Roman Sessions shined as well. He dropped a double – double in a very impressive fashion scoring 18 points 3 boards and 13 dimes.
On Friday they will visit the Pistons to see if they can knock off the team that is holding a spot that they want. The question is will they get it?
