Washington D.C.-The window of opportunity is getting a lot thinner for the Wizards who before tonights game were on a five game winning streak.
Just on Monday night the Wizards won in an impressive fashion in Atlanta 117-102. Tonight seemed to be a really off night for the red, white and blue as they lost to the Hawks 122-101. They lead at the half, but when the third quarter came around it was all Hawks.
Dennis Schroder was a key difference maker tonight, and really caused a problem for the Wizards when he had the ball in his hands. He was the leader in scoring tonight putting up 23 points with 12 boards and 8 dimes.
With this loss tonight the margin of error has gotten much thinner for the Wizards. Offensively they looked lost and weren’t putting up good offensive posessions. Not only that they shot 42.4% from the field. In order for them to be in game the presence of John Wall and Bradley Beal has to be there. A lack of aggression from him tonight really played a part in the Wizards offensive woahs.
Before the team heads out west for a few games they have to get past the Timberwolves on Friday night. A chance at the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference is still up for grabs, but if the Wizards want it they are going to have to get on a hot streak.
