The last time these two teams met in Chicago the Wizards lost 109 to 104. So tonight they were looking to get some revenge in front of their home crowd.
After a game against the Pistons in which they just totally dominated from start to finish, another consecutive win at home would give them a little more confidence while still proving that they can be a playoff team. John Wall would have yet another great performance, but instead of scoring another double – double he recorded yet another triple double. Scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. His running mate Bradley Beal put up 20 points and 5 boards in just his second game back returning from a sprained pelvis he suffered against Indiana.
Sitting at 32-35, and with a 117 – 96 win tonight the Red, White and Blue still find themselves in the hunt for an Eastern conference playoff spot.
Next they go on the road to take on the 76ers who just a few weeks ago became the first team to be eliminated from playoff contention. However, with nothing to lose the 76ers could still give the Wizards a run for their money.
