A thriller in Portland

It wasn’t the game that a lot of people were expecting. However, it succeeded everyone’s expectations.

Early on in the first quarter tensions were flairing as Alan Anderson and Gerald Henderson got into a bit of a scuffle that resulted in both of them recieving technical fouls. Later on however Amderson got another one and was disqualified from the game.

Despite all that the Wizards struggled all night at the free throw line. They went 11/23 on the night, and without the help of Bradley Beal they continued to struggle in scoring.

Beal got hurt in the last game against the Pacers and suffered a Sprained Pelvis. With his absence the Wizards bench had to really step up and the two people that helped a lot were Roman Sessions & Jared Dudley. Both of them combined for 37 points.

Even still both teams kept the game interesting. However, at times during the game the officiating was suspect. There were several occurrences when the team that possessed the ball could have gotten a foul call, but didn’t. Which drew some boos from the crowd from time to time.

At the start of the third quarter the Wizards were on a 9-0run, but the TrailBlazers came back and took control. When there was under :30 seconds left in the game the TrailBlazers took the lead thanks to Damian Lilard who had 41 points & 11 assists.

The game ended up going into overtime and from the start it was all Portland. No matter how hard they played the Wizards offense just wasn’t enough. Despite the efforts of John Wall and company.
