The Wizards went to the Windy City tonight to take on the Bulls who have been in the playoff conversation for quite some time. The Wizards are still trying to make a case for themselves in this year’s east playoff race.
Their performance as a team during the first half was good, and a familiar face that a lot of people might have forgotten about made his return to the court tonight. Alan Anderson returned to the lineup tonight and contributed 9 points and 3 rebounds.
However his performance on the floor was not enough to get it done tonight. They Wizards gave up 54 paint points which says a lot about how they played defensively tonight.
With only 26 games left the Wizards really have to do a better job at taking advantage of some of these games they are capable of winning. For some reason they get really relaxed when they have a comfortable lead and just go through the motions of the game and let their opponents roll past them.
John Wall didn’t really have the best night, but his running mate Bradley Beal had himself a good night. Dropping 19 points with 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
However, if the Wizards want to stay in this playoff race they are going to have to play better defense in the paint.
