It was not exactly the performance that Wizards fans were expecting tonight. After winning two straight games at home, the expectation was that they would get another win.
All time the Wizards are 7-4 in the southeast, and now Miami has tied the season series this season.
Due to the fact that the Wizards have been playing non stop basketball, they are obviously not 100%. Fatigue definitely played a role in the way tonight’s game played out. However, the performance the Wizards had as a team tonight was no excuse.
One of the reasons why was because of the way Hassan Whiteside who had 25 points and 23 rebounds. As opposed to Wizards star John Wall who had 12 points and his running mate Bradley Beal had 19 points that contributed to the Wizards 114 – 94 loss against the Heat.
The next time the Red, white and blue step onto the court it will be at home against the New Orlean Pelicans on Tuesday night.
With the loss tonight the Wizards record is 25-29. It is still early in the race for a spot in the playoffs, but the clock is ticking away and the games are starting to carry more weight.
