Tonight the Wizards went back on the road to take on a Charlotte team that no less than 24 hours ago lost to the Miami Heat at home.
Coming off of a home win at home the Wizards had expectations of keeping their winning ways rolling. However, tonight proved otherwise. For a good portion of the game the Wizards maintained a good lead. That is up until they blew a 19 point lead.
Its almost like every time they have a good lead, they some how blow it. This lack of consistency during games is a big part of the reason why the Wizards overall are 22 – 27. Although I will admit that there have been times when they have shown signs of much promise, they have not been able to do that one critical thing that all great teams do.
FINISH!
When the home stretch of the season comes around this inconsistency can not happen if they want to be in the playoffs. Plus if they don’t improve on their record they could possibly be put at a low seed and have to face the best team in the east. Which right now looks like it will be the Cavaliers.
Finally, the players that shined the brightest tonight when it came to stats was John Wall, Bradley Beal, and Otto Porter Jr. Wall finished with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists after scoring his 4th career triple double last night against the 76ers. Porter Jr. had 20 points and 8 rebounds. Beal had 22 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists.
Next the Wizards travel to Madison Square Garden to take on Carmelo Anthony and the Knew York Knicks. Tip off is at 8 pm.
