Tonight the Wizards or should I say the Bullets celebrated their throwback night tonight to honor some of the former players, and Hall of Famers. Ideally this would have been the perfect setting to get another win at home, but sadly that was not the case this evening.
The Bullets offensively did not look to be locked in on the game as a team, and allow me to also add that Bradly Beal was playing tonight with a broken nose. Also, it was not a guarantee that he was going to play tonight because of a concussion that he sustained in a recent game. However, despite all of that he managed to score 17 points, with 2 assists and a rebound. Garrett Temple led the team in points scoring 20 with 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. John Wall was lacking a little bit tonight when it came to fast break points which he usually has no trouble with at all, but tonight was one of those off nights for him. Meanwhile the Polish Hammer Marcin Gortat had himself a double double tonight with 12 points, and 10 rebounds.
This was the Bullets third straight loss, and with a tough road schedule ahead of them they could not afford to lose tonight. If they want to be taken seriously they are going to have to not only play more cohesively as a unit, but they will also have to take advantage of points of turnovers, and taking more precise shots. Coming up they play away at the Rockets, then the Thunder and then they are at home against the currently 42-4 Golden State Warriors.
Oddly enough the Bullets are more capable of winning more away games as opposed to home games. They are currently third in the east in wins at home.
Saturday they play the Houston Rockets at 8 pm tip off time.
