Wizards vs Grizzilies 12/23/15

Coming off of two straight wins it is safe to say that the Wizards seem to be on a roll as of late. However, many wanted to see of they could keep it up. Tonight they went up against the the Memphis Grizzlies who are led by head coach David Joerger. The Grizzlies themselves have won two straight games.

One of the things that really hurt the Grizzlies during this game was when Mario Chalmers was ejected from the game as a result of some comments he made towards one of the officials.

In the early goings of the game the Grizzlies seemed to be in control. That is until the Wizards outscored them in the first quarter 25 – 18. When the second quarter came around the Wizards seemed to be hitting on all cylinders. John Wall led the team in points in the second quarter with 9 points. Garrett Temple wasn’t far behind him however. He had a total of eight points, and contributed at the free throw line as well.

Garrett Temple ended up playing the most minutes in the game with 40 minutes, was 8/17 on FG and had 6 rebounds. Marcin Gortat also played 40 minutes, and came up big in rebounds recording 12 on the night as well as having 12 points on the whole night. Also everyone’s favorite Wizard John Wall had a big game himself. He played 37 minutes, was 5/18 on field goals,  had an astounding 14 assists, and finished the game with  14 points. Not only that, but he also had a couple of blocks off turnovers. Good hustle to say the least.

When this was all said and done the final score of the game was 100 – 91.
