In what was the final home game for the Redskins in the 2015 season, they went out with a bang. From start to finish the game was all Washington, and they really had the Bills off balance from the opening kickoff.

On the very first drive the Redskins drive down the field, and Kirk Cousins throws a Touchdown pass to Jordan Reed. Jordan Reed over the course of this season has proven that when healthy he is a match up problem for any defensive back in this league. However, the scoring didn’t stop there. On the next posession the Redskins offense drives down the field again, but this time Captain Kirk (Kirk Cousins) calls his own number and runs for a thirteen yard Touchdown. Then on the following drive Kirk Cousins throws a dart to Jordan Reed for his second Touchdown catch of the day. By this time the score was 21-0.

Also, the redskins defense showed up yesterday and kept the Bills scoreless until the third quarter. Ryan Kerrigan, Jason Hatcher,  Ricky Jean Francois,  Preston Smith and Will Blackmon all had a sack on the day. The Redskins have proven that they can get after the quarterback, and get off the field on third down in key moments in the game when it matters the most. Not only that, but in an impressive goal line stand the defense managed to keep the Bills out of the endzone on all four downs. Big statement by “Capital Punishment.”

Finally, as we draw near to the end of the season, the burgundy and gold find themselves in a position to be able to not only win the NFC East, but also to capture a playoff berth.  All they have to do is beat the Eagles and they are in, but as we know this will not be an easy battle. None the less it will be interesting.
