2015 ESPY Awards

Here we are once again at this time of the year where we celebrate the world of sports.

A night where we celebrate the success of some of today’s top athletes in the world and sports teams.

Of the many athletes honored last night the two that stands out to me the most are Peyton Manning,Aaron Rodgers. Both of whom are QB,s in the NFL. Manning won the record-breaking award and Rodgers won the best NFL player award. Also Odell Beckam jr. won the Best Play award for hid amazing one-handed Touchdown catch against the Dallas Cowboys.

Not only that, but also Bengals Defensive Lineman Devon Still and his daughter Leah who has been fighting a battle with cancer for quite some time received the Jimmy V award. Even though Leah couldn’t be there at the show she sent a heart-felt message to her dad and Lebron James who was the presenter for the Jimmy V award.#LeahStrong

Another fun part of the night was when Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski won the received the Best Comeback Athlete award. Rightfully so after the season that he and the Patriots had. Totally dominating their way to the top once again. However there are still a couple of gray clouds looming in the air, but the NFL Commissioner is handling it as we speak.

Another pretty cool part of the show was when A-Rod had his public apology read by Ken Jeon which was hilarious to say the least. Had me rolling on the floor laughing.

Moving right along I’m sure we all remember the talented Miss Mo’ne Davis. The beautiful and talented young baseball phenomenon received the Best Breakthrough Athlete award for her performance in the Little League World Series. Hope to see more of her in the sports world as she grows up right in front of our eyes.

To cap off the night the USA Womens Soccer team received the Best Team Award for winning the World Cup 11 days ago. Truly a momentous occasion and celebration. It was a great night full smiles, laughter and a few tears. Everyone came dressed to the nine and had a great time. Can’t wait for next year’s show!!!!
