Golden State Takes The Throne

First let me tip my hat off to the Cleveland Cavaliers for a great effort. Lebron James came and did numbers in this years NBA Finals. Almost averaging a triple double each game and going into OverTime the first two games was absolutely awesome!

Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors finally make it over the hump and bring home the cities first championship in over 40 years. I remember a time when early in this series when everyone thought all hope was lost. However they refused to stay down and got back up fighting scratching and clawing their way to the top. Not only that , but the last time I saw the league MVP become champion was probably back during the MJ era.

The strategy for Golden State to shorten the line up was pure genius on the part of their Head Coach Steve Kerr. This man has been through so much and truly deserves this championship win!! Can’t wait to see what he and the Warriors do next season. Also I want to give props to Draymond Green for stepping up and proving his worth to the team. When he played great the Warriors always won. Next I want to give a shout out to the 2015 NBA Finals Series MVP Andre Iguodala for sacrificing so much just so that the team could make it this far. He is the only player in league history to win the Finals MVP and not start in each game. That is truly amazing!!!

Also Klay Thompson the other half of the splash brothers contributed so much this season to the team. He got hurt during the finals, but didn’t let that stop him from helping his team win each and every time he stepped on the court. Next season will no doubt be a thriller. He and Steph Curry when on the court at the same time are unstoppable.

In the end though Lebron lost yet another Finals series for the second year in a row. He is undoubtedly disappointed , but in my eyes he had a legendary season. Breaking records, setting them, and leading a team as far as he could. My hats off to him and I hope he comes back next year stronger and hungrier than ever before.
