OffSeason Frenzy

During this offseason there have been a lot of moves made by a plethora of teams. Some have even made national headlines. Some moves were very smart and some have been raising some eyebrows. The biggest news this offseason that has really raised some eyesbrows has been the Philadelphia eagles head coach Chip Kelly. He has really been a busy man this offseason. The biggest move that he has made during this offseason was trading Lesean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills for Linebacker Kiko Alonso. Many have asked the obvious question ” Why would he do that”?

Also he has even let go of one of their most productive receivers in Jeremy Maclin who led the team in receiving yards and catches this past season. A more astounding, but not surprising move that he has made is signing several former University of Oregon football players that he has coached himself.

Maybe he’s crazy or maybe he knows something that the eagles fans don’t. Either way he is the man with the ball in his court and is cooking up a big surprise for eagles fans this up coming season. I can’t wait to see what rabbit he pulls out of his hat next.

Aside from philly there have been other teams making headlines. For instance lets take the Miami Dolphins who signed Defensive Tackle Ndamukong Suh to a six year $114 million dollar contract with $60 million guaranteed. Suh has been spending the majority of his career with the Detroit Lions and has had a lot of success there, but his aggressive style of play has caused people to look at him in a different light. Now I think his style of play is a little over the top, but you can’t deny that his mentality is the kind you have to have in order to survive in the NFL. None the less I wish him nothing but the best while he is with the Dolphins.

One more thing that really boggled my mind is when the Dallas Cowboys didn’t re-sign Demarco Murray. He was the NFL’s leading rusher this past season and set a Cowboys record with 1,845 rushing yards. He was one of the main reasons why the Dallas Cowboys had such a great regular season and almost made it back to the NFC Championship game. Murray set a single season rushing record with 12 games with 100+ yards that was by far his most impressive season yet. According to NFL.com Murray signed with the Philadelphia Eagles on March 12 of this year. The contract was  5 years with $42 million dollars.

None the less the Cowboys will keep it moving with Running Backs Lance Dunbar, Joseph Randle, and one of their newest acquisitions Darren McFadden, but they are still holding on to the possibility of getting Adrian Peterson. However I don’t think the Vikings will be letting him go anytime soon.
