Bowie State Bulldog Fighting Cancer

Today me and WBGR SportsNetwork had the opportunity to cover today’s Mens and Women’s Basketball Games. Both of the games were awesome the Men won theirs, but the women lost theirs. However they were both great games none the less. Not only that, but it was senior day today and both teams honored their seniors and thanked them for their time in Bowie State Athletics.

However the real story that was the main focus today was about a Bowie State Student that is right now in a fight with Cancer. His name is Rasheen King. He is a 24 year old Sophmore  that has really had a hard life. One of his close friends who I spoke with today told me the following. He lost his mom at a very young age, his father left him shortly after that and the only family he had left was his grandmother. Who according to his friend that I spoke with passed away last year. So its safe to say that he has really had a hard time with life. Even though he doesn’t have any biological family left he considers Bowie State University all the family he needs. Rasheen is a Communications major according to his friend that I spoke with.

Today during the Men’s basketball game the announcer told the crowd that they have raised a total amount of $1,443 for Rasheen and for the ongoing fight against cancer. If you want to help in the fight please go to http:// Gfwd.at/1BuVYmh for more information. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
