Today at FedEx Field the Redskins and Eagles faced off in an always great NFC East showdown. The Redskins have been on a six game losing streak and with all the drama surrounding the Quarterback position things looked really dim for the burgundy and gold. With the Eagles coming off a Sunday night football loss to the cowboys they were in a desperate situation to win to stay in the NFC playoff race. The Redskins were able to get the ball into the hands of Desean Jackson alot today which helped the offense out tremendously, also Alfred Morris rushed over the 1,000 yard mark for the third consecutive season. The defense of the Redskins came up big when rookie cornerback Bashaud Breeland intercepted Eagles QB Mark Sanchez in the 4th Quarter. Redskins kicker Kai Forbath kicked the game winning field goal with 0:05 second left in the 4th Quarter which gave the Redskins their fourth win of the season. It was an all around great effort by the Redskins and a much needed win.
